These tracks represent his uniquely masterful versatility and raw power of interpretation spun within the folk process of tribute and continuance. His usual new bag of originals are set aside here to present his favorite sounds of old where he can stretch out and swim where they take him. As summer rolled on and the world became small, Jody Carroll gives us a look back in time beyond the rivers and snakes.
